18. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
GameCube/Wii (2006)
Nintendo EAD 3
We all remember it, the moment when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was unveiled to the world. Grown men cried. Wars stopped. Dogs and cats came to love one another. You know the drill. But Twilight Princess is more than just a flash in the pan in the gaming world. No, the game is another amazing chapter in The Legend of Zelda franchise. Great dungeons, fantastic boss battles (Stallord!), great cast of characters (including the best sidekick character in Midna), and a final showdown that still gives me the shivers just thinking about it. Twilight Princess may be the most conventional of the 3D Zelda games, but it pulls everything off so well that the game's freshness is never really an issue. Just an epic adventure and an epic quest worthy of the greatest of heroes.
