hey you guys know what else sells, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, and gangsta rap music all are quality products because they sale according to fatsob.

If that's what the market wants then so be it.

The market doesn't want quality, they want shiny things and flash. That's why they flock to One Direction, Miley Cirus and Avatar. Videogames have not gone full retard down this path yet, but they are trending down that same abyss; eagerly lead by the GFLOP fanatics of the world.

I think games are already full down that path. The industry is bloated with shooters and a increasing demand for midless M-rated games with realistic graphics and loads of shooting and shooting.  Aside from that, a very few racing, sports and rpg franchises survive, VERY few. Fighting games and platformers have been dissapearing, and the few that still are out are not selling well. Certain genres are practically non-existent on consoles today - puzzle, adventure, simulation, rhythm & music, strategy, aerial combat, board/table games etc.

This paradigm is going to kill the industry any day
