No, people gave shit to Wii because its library was made up of 90% shovelware and very few quality titles in between. I dont think it ever had 15 AAA games, which is completly abysmal for a market leader.  PS4 and Xbone's library are about what you'd expect from a launch line ups


And Metacritic had been their great symbol of quality - they always pointed to the nmber of PS3 and 360 games with a high Metacritic score, and the fact that it was higher than that of the Wii, to prove that the 360 and PS3 were the better systems. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, they bash Metacritic as being meaningless in the face of popular opinion.

Wow, thats just pathetic. Are you that desperate to find some positive aspect about the Wii U to brag about that you resorted to comparing libraries on systems 3-4 weeks to libraries on a system thats over a year old. Holy shit man.

Just a hint, Wii had more AAA rated games on metacritic than the PS3 in 2007, and in the end PS3 ended up having 4 times as much AAA games. In fact, not a single Nintendo console ever had even remotly the same amount of AAA titles compared to any PlayStation console. The quality gap is THAT big

Actually, that's a complete bullshit observaton and a very desperate one. PS4 already outsold Wii U YTD in less then 4 weeks. Its already on its way to outsell it in USA by the end of the year and WW by the end of Q1 2014. You know full well what people mean when they say more popular appeal than Wii U, dont try to spin that into something desperate straw grasping.

PS4 tie ratio: 2.454
XBO tie ratio: 2.822
WiiU tie ratio: 3.205

So the claim that Wii U owners aren't buying games is just plain wrong.

Cant argue with this, altho its fair to notice PS4 owners already get 3 free games by just getting PS+

EDIT: Notice that I make no disparaging remark about the PS4 or XBO. Or the PS3, or the 360. I wouldn't, because I'm a real gamer - I consider gaming to be what matters. PS4 and XBO will get their top-rated games, in time. And Wii U will get more top-rated games, too. The console war absurdity needs to stop - we are all gamers, and whether you prefer the PS3, 360, Wii, PS4, XBO, WiiU, 3DS, PSV, PC, or any other system, you should be celebrating the broad range of options we have, and not outright attacking other systems and celebrating poor results.

If you call yourself a gamer, and engage in console wars, then you're lying to yourself, and to everyone else.
