Fifteen years from now I believe they will still be making hardware of some sort. I think fifteen to twenty years from now dedicated home gaming consoles as we know them will be gone. I think we'll see some sort of "Nintendo Tablet" produced, that takes advantage of what Nintendo's done with Wii U to Gamepad streaming.
There will be a box that receives signals from the tablet and feeds it into the TV to display games in up to 1080p. Meanwhile you can take the tablet anywhere and play games in up to 720p.
