| pokoko said: I disagree. Business is about a lot more than "winning" the total units metric. Sales rate is more important. Right now, obviously, the sales rates for the XO and PS4 are astronomical, which doesn't actually mean much in the long-term. The sales rate for the Wii U, on the other hand, is just plain not good and it looks like it's going to miss out on some key third-party releases. Honestly, we won't know who is doing the "winning" until sales rates have stabilized, which means next year. Talking about it when two of the three consoles have just launched is kind of meaningless. |
I've been trying to tell people that they shouldn't read into the 1st week or 2 of sales, but they wont listen.
I would agree with Cinemablend, I have a Wii U and PS4, and I've played my Wii U more since I got my PS4. I only have Knack so far, and if it wan't for that game I would have put off getting a PS4 until next year. I hate Military first-person shooters and sports games, and that's about all there is on PS4 and XBONE just now. I think the PS4 and XBONE launch hysteria is dying down, and the sobering up is now happening with no new full retail releases until next March.
