Overtracked by 400k in November in the US alone.

Ah here you are! How're you feeling about our bet? X/Y is already going to be more than 2 thirds of the way there by years end!

I'm super confident about our bet, especially when we know how vgchartz overtracks anything Nintendo.

According to this http://www.joystiq.com/2013/12/12/november-npd-ps4-is-top-selling-console-xbox-one-is-fastest/ Nintendo's figures indicated that 3DS sold 770,000 in the US in November and the totals for 3DS surpassed 10.5 million. That means vgchartz overtracked by 238k for the month and about 500k for lifetime sales in the US.

However, vgchartz doesn't always overtrack anything Nintendo. For example: end of October vgchartz Wii U global figures 3.83 mil, Nintendo Wii U global figures 3.91 mil.

So, I was correct - the 3DS has been overtracked by 400,000 in November in the US. Thank you for proving me right. Go back and look at the weekly numbers for the US on here if you want.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. I said 238k overtracked for the month, and about 500k overtracked for lifetime sales.  I calculated the 238k as being difference between the 770,000 figure given by Nintendo and the sum of the figures given here for w/e Nov 9 + Nov 16 + Nov 23 + Nov 30 as they stood at the time of my post quoted above. I don't see where you got 400k from, unless there's something I'm missing, or else vgchartz adjusted their figures between the point when you saw them, and the point when I saw them and did my calculation.

I have gone back and looked at the weekly figures for those weeks again just now. It appears that they have been adjusted since I made that calculation. The total for those four weeks in November is now 765k, closer to Nintendo's figure of 770k.

However, the lifetime total as at Nov 30th is now showing on here as 10.77 mil - still higher than the 10.5 mil from Nintendo.

Anyway, overtracked or not, 3DS is showing to have sold 226k in the US for the week to 7th Dec. I doubt it will make 14 mil by year end.
