Not to start a whole new topic but, given the ability to turn every retail xbox one in to a development kit, be it, with some restriction, I can see, at some point at least, someone attempting to write an xbox-one specific virus or malware.

Doubt that's possible. Microsft is still going to require people to register with the ID@XBOX program to use the features. Some one tries publishing a virus and they're getting sued a million times over.
