It's not like the Playstation brand isn't big in the USA, PS1 and PS2 did dominate back in the day, and PS3 did fairly well too. Guess we heard different rumors. Only time will tell in the end, but you have to agree the PS4-XBO gap in USA will be smaller then the PS3-360 gap (or in favor of PS4). Don't forget X360 had A LOT of exclusives at the start too. Maybe not as many studios, but in terms of the sheer number of exclusives (even if you ignore timed ones), 360 had more exclusives then XBO. Who's to say exclusive support won't dwindle on XBO like it did on 360? I mean Sony's biggest studios were still primarily supporting PS3 in 2013, don't you think in the future PS4 will get a lot of exclusives too? P.S. PS3 didn't top the 360 in the number of exclusives until 2011 P.P.S. - Competition makes better products. PS4/XBO are better because of each other, and I agree with you about owning multiple consoles. I'm sticking to PC/PS4/WiiU for now, but before the 8th gen ends, if they sell XBO's without Kinect, I will get one. I don't want to miss out |
The playstation brand is big worldwide. Sony has been in the game longer than microsoft. The USA will be great for both but the gap wont be that big. X360 did have more exclusives from the start but most were third party....meaning they weren't set on stone. Many came to pc after and some to ps3. Alot of gamers knew exclusive games on xbox sometimes ended up on pc so i assume they just waited for a pc version. Ps3 on the other hand had alot more real exclusives. As i said before microsoft has more 1st party studios than before. Unless they close them all down (i doubt) they will keep pumping out games for the xbox one. This time around its different for both consoles. Isn't it easier to pirate dvd games instead of blu ray games? i dont know much about pirating games but xbox 360 games got pirated to an extreme. Pirating caused alot of games to sell poorly. We will see 3 or 4 years from now if they are still creating games for it.
Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?
The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.
The ONLY next gen console to do so.

This was 6 years after the 360 launched, we can't estimate what's going to happen 6 years down the road for XBO/PS4.
