At last, Nintendo (and Best Buy) have convinced this veteran cynical Nintendo fan to cave and pick up a Wii U. My impressions.

I am of the opinion that the PS4 and XB1 will be good for Nintendo. For one,it raised the profile of gaming, creating a bit of hype that has been lacking. But also, I think some gamers will realize that the new gen does not really offer that much more in terms of graphics fidelity or gameplay experiences, and some of them will look towards the WiiU. I'm not convinced that MS and Sony will keep the hype after Christmas once their core market is satiated.
