I don't think bandwidth limits are very commong outside the US. At least they're extremely rare in Finland. Also, fast internet connections are becoming more and more common.

Well most providers in the US have data caps unless you are very lucky and have Google fiber which is ultra fast and has no data caps.

Luckily most of the world's population lives outside the US and doesn't have to deal with the data caps of US internet providers.
