I like the GoW games but I'm really not a fan of "murder porn" levels of violence. It doesn't make the games feel edgier or more mature it makes them feel like they're pandering to 14-year-olds. I don't think it's necessary ... were GoW 1/2 as violent as 3?

Yes there are violent movies and TV shows but even they don't fetishize such extreme violence in such a way.
