I'm talking CURRENT sales, not sales through the year. I made that pretty clear, too: "...and is now selling at a rate comparable to what the Wii was selling at back in 2008, in the corresponding week"

That is current sales. The WiiU has done 600k in Japan this year. Who cares about one week when the Wii was selling nearly 5 times that of the WiiU during 2008. The fact that the two systems had similar sales for one week proves absolutely nothing.
