Honestly, Nintendo has not been pushing out new series as quickly as they did with the Gamecube and that is (probably) one of the main reasons the Wii is selling so well. Within a couple of months every major series from the Gamecube will have seen a sequel on the Wii; this means that we will probably have a 12 to 18 month period following that were Nintendo is more focused on their midsized franchises, bringing back old series, and inventing new properties.
