Nintendo takes the kids, Smartphones/cell phones take the high school/college age kids. Dude bros don't care for gaming on the go.
So that basically leaves Sony with the "Marcus crowd" ... 13-15 year old boys who still want a handheld but haven't discovered more interesting pursuits outside of the house ... once they get their driver's license it's bye bye handhelds.
