does the 1080p make it play differently than 720p? If not, is the ps4 even worth the upgrade? The games are the same homie, no new innovative ip's just full 1080p remakes and rehashes of the same old games. Notice the high ratings wii u games are getting compared to the ps4 & xbox1. pretty games don't translate to fun games. ACIV IS THE SAME GAME across all consoles. if you finished the game playing it at 720p, is there really an incentive to repurchase it for ps4 1080p and same gameplay. I am a day one xbox1 buyer, i have to admit that the thrill is gone. After completing Ryse and running around in BF4 for a week, I back on my ps3 and xbo360 finishing my backlog of games. More recently I have been playing the shit out of M3DW. Its also not bad on the eyes itself.

Nah, bro, that's cool. Let's just keep working harder and harder to push the envelope in these consoles and keep working harder and harder to make TVs better, and cheaper for easier accessibility for the masses......but cap the games so that A.) I don't get everything out of my console and B.) I don't get everything out of my TV.

Yes, let's advocate not getting what you paid for.

While I agree that gameplay should be the deciding factor for anything gaming related, don't "settle" (and I mean that, as in, don't let developers get comfortable delivering less than the current standard). Otherwise, don't ever upgrade your TV. Stick to a 20" CRT with a 480i display. I mean, games won't play differently, right?

Nobody is telling you to repurchase games in order to "upgrade" to 1080p. OP is just saying the difference, in this case, between 1080p and 720p is very noticeable.
