So a shooter, an open world shooter and another shooter are the new innovative games of this new gen ?

Ok, I think I'm skipping it then.

What point are you trying to make?  You see "Another Open world shooter"  where many of us see a persistant and evolving war with parcour and mech elements that have never been used in an online shooter before.

It would be like calling Little Big Planet "Another Platforming Game."  If you can't see what sets it apart from other games similar to it, then you are the person with the problem.

My point is Half Life 2, Arma, Planetside 2, Far Cry 3, Crysis, you got it.

Those games you mentioned are generic formulas, with new characters. Far from new experiences.

Nothing wrong with that, whatever grinds your gears, but calling those games innovative experiences that you can only have now, on the mid-range powered undercover PC's called "next gen" consoles is kinda funny :)

You want an innovative game in the FPS genre ? Take a look at portal perhaps. Anti chamber also. Now that's innovative and never seen before.

No one said nothing of the sort, stop putting words in my mouth. So no one is innovating, fine. But for some reason people really arent buying what Ninty is selling in terms of home console, but for some reason PS360s sell more, X1 had a better launch and PS4 cant be kept on shelves. So I guess innovationation isnt that important.

And Portal isnt a FPS as you dont shoot anything. Its a FP puzzle game. Did you even play that game?

Did you? I doubt it.
