If a company says it sold over a number, it means it was just barely over. if a company sells 1.25 million, the PR guy would be fired if he just said "over a million". You never low ball your own numbers. you give the highest possible increment, 1 million, 1.1M, 1.2 etc.. especially since the Sony only said 1 million. if Microsoft got even 1 unit higher then 1.1M they would have been shouting it from the roof tops |

Over 66 million sold = 65.4m shipped
Over 80 million sold = 79.6m shipped
PS. I didn't get the correct numbers but you understand.
Now how can a company says "over 1 million in 24 hours" 8 hours before 24 hours?
