This is the exact position they were in with the Gamecube. Their first party games might kick some serious ass, but there is no draw, momentum, enthusiasm for the hardware in general. At this point, I don't see anything, software or hardware-wise, that can change the way thing are going. It's not going to be pretty for Nintendo until they are able release a more exciting home console. Their resources will be much better off being utilized to continue pushing 3DS sales in order to get it to become the best-selling system ever. I have no doubt that their little portable-that-could can beat PS2 one day.
