In this world. Isn't that the essence of argument? If you can back up your opinion with facts and reason, then it's better than an unsupported opinion that few would agree with. That doesn't mean it's 100% right or wrong, but it sure looks more convincing. If I say, "Super Mario 3D World if better than Knack. For example, it has a 94 on Metacritic, indicating universal praise, and Knack has a 55, indicating mixed to poor reviews. This is based on not one critic, but of collection of scores. Oh, and it's user score is 9.0 versus 6.5 for Knack, so it's not just critics who agree it's better." And you say, "No, Knack is better cause I say so." Which opinion is better? Do you really think all opinions are equal? |
My God you know nothing about tastes and opinions. I never said i like Knack better, i never even implied it! One could like Knack more and that would his/her opinion and there is nothing wrong about that. A lot of people like and buy iPhones. A lot of android smartphones are technically better, but that doesn't make them better or worse.
It's ignorant to try and legitimize an opinion over another simply because more people were to agree with it. Using your logic, the WiiU is bought by people who have a bad taste in gaming, as more people go for a PS4 or an Xbox One.
