Sans the condescension I do disagree with OP as well. Nintendo honestly is just getting it's name out there and not thinking that far ahead and they need to sieze the moment. I think they did actually make a smart move though by only showing that DK footage contrary to popular belief. That award show was absolutely cringeworthy and anything Nintendo showed wouldn't have really benefitted them in any meaningful way. It would have in fact negated all of the positive feedback they've been building towards Nintendo direct.
Side note: I honestly will be shocked if there is one next year, that was so forced and so shallow. I mean man bring back X play. At least that had some personality.
