See, this is the problem with hardcore gamers and reviews aggregates, they fail to see how silly it is to compare games from different genres on different consoles to each other and claim game A is better than game B because a bunch of critics reviews were posted and one averaged 90% and the other 'only' 89% or whatever. It's okay to check and see if a game is well-received and how well it compared to similar games on comparable platforms but otherwise it's all a bit nonsensical.
The only Wii U exclusive game that has score extremely well is Mario 3D World (Zelda: WW HD is a remake so it's not truly exclusive as the same basic game can be played on Gamecube & Wii). Aside from that nothing else has done all that spectacularly and only SSB & Mario Kart will score big next year and both of which are 1 per gen games, after that maybe another 3D Mario, 2 Zelda game & a Metroid game will score big but I don't see much else.
Sony has Infamous: SS, The Order 1886 & Uncharted 4 coming next year which are all going to score big so they'll be on par even with the Wii U being out a year longer. Even Driveclub might do very well and have a high 80s rating. Then in 2015 we'll have new IPs from SSM, MM which are pretty much guaranteed to be acclaimed hits as well as games from Sony Bend, GG, GT7, QD and more. I think the PS4 will push ahead of the competition very quickly.
I'm sure the Xbox One will have a few great scoring exclusives next year too with Quantic Break looking great and Halo 5. The new Fable might do well now Molyneux and his wacky ideas has left the building. It should build up a nice amount of great exclusives during its lifetime, hoping to see Alan Wale 2, something in the Gears universe, new IPs and maybe a PGR revival.
Also when comparing Wii U games to PS4/X1:
1. PS4 & X1 games are reviewed to a different standard to Wii U games since they are far more powerful and expectations are higher (like last gen PS360 vs Wii).
2. Critics very rarely mark down Nintendo games for lousy/no online multiplayer, consistently lacking in story, lack of innovation, poorly balanced difficulty etc, but commonly do so with games from other companies. E.g. Mario & Zelda always have inflated scores even with the same problems other games get marked down for.
3. Finally who cares what the highest scores are? We'll see at least 10 exclusives on all 3 current gen consoles average 90%+ which is a great achievement but will sadly be soured by forum dwellers arguing about what critically acclaimed game is more critically game even if just by a few %.
I'm buying both a PS4 & X1 next fall and look forward to all the great exclusives and 3rd party games, I will casually steal my brothers Wii U and play anything that looks good to me, nothing yet but a fresh new Zelda game with the E3 2011 demo's visuals would definitely steal some of my time.
