Reminds me of when Al Davis was trying to pass Jamarcus Russell off as a real NFL quarterback and the Raiders looked all-time bad. As soon as he got injured/benched, they got competitive with Bruce Gradkowski. Not because he was great or anything, but because everyboyd else felt like they at least had a legitimate shot at winning with somebody else.
