Although in parts I agree with you in other aspects of your post is just as clueless as Nintendo. Everyone else's home console is in demand and vastly outselling Nintendo's. That's the reality. That's the fact.

Whats the point of "being the only one doing what they do right now" if no one gives a shit and don't buy the console? How do you make money?

The whole idea is to promote the wii u and create sales. Donkey kong is not going to sell consoles, nor is it going to entice anyone watching VGX to buy one. In all honesty it probably did the opposite.

That presentation was better shown on Nintendo Direct. It was horrible. The way the presenter just look blankly at Reggie and asked "is that it? Nothing else" sums it up. It was the wrong clothes at the wrong event. Something in Reggie's attitude makes me think he knows this.

Negativity surrounding the wii u is part of the reason it's sales are so poor. I am not saying this presentation did the wii u any harm but I don't see how it could have done it any good.

Great to see Nintendo fans saying what they think instead of blindly following and never condemning the company like others do.

So are you saying instead that more Nintendo fans should jump on the negativity train and condem the system before barely any of it's big hitter titles have even released, like all OTHER forum trolls that prowl the internets? Just curious.

And quite frankly, while there is certainly an argument to be made for them showing something more substantial at VGX, on the other hand, considering that DKCR made more noise on the internet and Twitter than just about anything else they showed off, maybe it wasn't that stupid of a move after all?
