I don't understand this analogy. Why would game announcements and reveals let you down? If they let you down in terms of games I would completely understand, but why are reveals so important? |
Did I say that? And don't you mean a lack of game anouncements and reveals? But anyway ... I'm let down by Nintendo being out of touch (as the title of this thread points out). This is just another link in that chain in their pattern of behavior.
Also, unlike other people I was not keeping my hopes up for anything (though new revelas would have been nice). I'm more incensed about the methods they employed tonight. DK is going to be great, but that was not the place for it.
And to answer the latter part of your post (although it doesn't really realte to me), Nintendo have great games. That's established. Target audience, push, marketing and communication in general are important, and to me, they seem to be at fault here. Their games need to be channeled with these things in mind. Nintendo needs to capture mindshare of gamers beyond their fanbase. They're losing that battle. I'm disappointed in what I perceive to be consistent self sabbotage - not simply revelas or a lack of them in one award show.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
