The games they are giving for free can be bought for 2 bucks..........sorry it's still horrendous value.

Dead Rising 2 is still $14.99 used at gamestop and that was one of the recent games they gave away and the two games they gave away last month Iron Brigade and A World of Keflings are still both $9.99 on XBLA.  The only game that you may find easily for 2 two bucks that they gave away for free is Crackdown but even that is still $2.99 at gamestop.
