Content =/= Context, and I left that particular line because it was the line that made me decide to say the very first sentence in my reply. I'm done arguing this - you're on some sort of crusade, as I said, and your entire argument was based on ignoring 90% of the context of what you were responding to, and then asserting something that technically supported my argument, even though you couldn't admit it. |
I'm still curious how "the quoted line epitomising the entire post." and "The context of my post, and of his, were in complete alignment." turned into "Pavolink asserted three things. I responded to one of them.". Especially when two of the three things were in your quote.
You keep saying I am on a crusade, but you've been so overeager to try to call me out for ignoring context and other things that you have repeatedly done the very same things you accuse me of.
My entire initial "argument" consisted of giving the positions and context of those positions for the past three Mario games. In response you stated
"None of those games were up against a console launch, let alone two of them. As you say, 3D Land had AC:R, SR3, Halo HD, and Zelda SS all launching the same week... 3D World has every PS4 launch title launching the same week."
As well as crafting a figure for 3D World to compare to Land and the first entrance of your marathon analogy. I respond to that, after which you decide to kick off this meta commentary about the "argument" instead of actually addressing my points. You also try to pass off the system launch mentioning by saying "My noting of the fact that it was a system launch week was only to emphasise why Knack was able to sell more." despite neither Pavolink nor I even mentioning Knack, yet you mentioned it being a system launch week in replies to both of us. Even within your own posts, Knack had only been mentioned as a means to determine a sales estimate for 3D World.
Hopefully this whole episode has caused you to reflect more on your own posting before lambasting others.
