Multiplats are only inferior because the devs have 8-9 years experience with PS3/360 hardware and invest considerable money and effort into those platforms, while they only have two years experience with Wii U and make the bare minimum of effort because they don't expect it to sell.

Need for Speed Most Wanted U and Trine 2 Director's Cut show what happens when a competent dev actually tries to make a quality Wii U port. Both were superior to the PS3/360 versions in a numbers of ways.

The hardware is a step up. More than twice as much RAM available for games, more than three times as much eDRAM as 360, DX10/11 equivalent GPGPU.

2 games that benefited from extra dev time because they came out later , and 2 games, that had very slight advantages, while most wiiu ports are 6-10 fps behind current gen versins rendering them almost unplayable imo, just look at ps4 vs xbone, ps4  is only 40% more powerful yet every game has an advanatge, and some which are huge, if we go be the insider specs, wiiu has less shaders, a weaker cpu, and can't do hd installs, which all show in mulitplatform games.

Hello Ninjablade. :)

"Insider info" from neogaf is not a legitimate source; it's unreliable speculation by a bunch of anonymous nobodies.

Trine 2 and Need for Speed's "extra dev time" was simply because it took time to port to a different architecture. Both devs stated that the Wii U's greater capabilities allowed for the improvements they made. Frozenbyte even said the Wii U version of Trine 2 could not be done on PS3/360.

Trine 2 on Wii U is superior in terms of:

- Screen resolution

- Texture Resolution

- Anti-aliasing

- Water effects

- Physics

- Normal map compression

Need for Speed wins in terms of:

- Texture resolution

- Reflections

- Framerate

Other ports lag behind because they are lazy rushjobs.
