Because it is not just the wii U. It is the only way to get these games. You cannot just go to another system and get Mario! You can get any of the Vita's games on another system eventually. Nintendo will just wait and try with another system. That means Nintendo gamers will have to wait.

We need it to work! Plus have you seen Vita sales? That is a whole different story. It is the holidays for Christ sakes!

Well... Mario Kart and Smash will keep people interested. Remember the year after 2010 for the Wii? We had nothing more or less until Zelda Skyward Sword at the end of the year. Or after the 3DS's first Christmas when we had nothing as well hardly.

The Wii U actually has some really big games early on, and that is not including what nintendo will throw at us the rest of the year. So yes, I agree that there will be some trying times still, but not as bad as last year, and if they can keep that going thoughout the year, should mean a full scale "3DS like turnaround' by next Christmas.

Its not possible to get 3DS like turn with Wii U, because of competiton and 3rd party support. People might buy Wii U for nintendo games and it might sell more units but not gonna buy 3rd party games even if it comes due to inferior version.
