The problem is that people underestimate how hard it is to do really quality emulation. The free emulatores you find on phones are mostly crap and can crash on you deleting your save file (happened to my brother). The reason for this is because the emulator depends on the specs of the machine and since phones have constantly changing specs it is much harder to make good emulators for them then it would be for a console and the fact that phones don't have buttons ruins a lot of the gams. The main probelm with the subject is that most people know almoast nouthing about emulation at all if you want to know how hard good emulation is read this article http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2011/08/accuracy-takes-power-one-mans-3ghz-quest-to-build-a-perfect-snes-emulator/

Reading this article taught me a lot for one thing the wii wii u and most phones arn;t powerful enough to brute force acurate emulation. This is where you might fault nintendo in that they might be too much of a perfectionists for there own good because when nintendo releases a virtual console game say for the snes they have a base snes emulator, but for each game they have to tweek the coding of the emulator specifically for that game and then they have to test it to see if it preforms up to their standards they do this for each game. This is why it takes them so long to release virtual console games and they should probaly hire more people specificaly to do this job so that they can release the games faster. This however shows you that it would be impposible for nintendo to keep their quality standards and release virtual console games for phones because each game would have to have its emulator tweeked for every single phone with diffrent specs that they want to release on.

I can't belive pacter thinks realesing ds games on phones would be a good idea. Fitting the two screens on a small phone screen would be terible just reading the text would be difficult not to mention playing any game that requires the touch screen would literly become imposible your thumb. would be as big half the ds touch screen emulated on the phone.

I will tell all you some interesting information the reason that there is no N64 virtual console on the Wii U is because the wii wasen't anywere near powerful enouch for nintendo to get really acurate N64 emulation so they probaly have to completly rewrite there entire emulator code for the Wii U to get really good N64 emulation (They really should hire more people to get this stuff done faster.)

PS: Don't mind my spelling couldn't find spell check for the posts.
