Is Wii U's YTD numbers the worst ever for a main console?

Wii U could have similar specs to Ps4-Xbone if Nintendo choose to ditch the gamepad and release another GameCube pad.

Problem is, that even with those specs, third party support won't come as they are not working on it, and it will be a three-clone race where they will lose early as they are a smaller company than the other two.

Gamepad was their bet, like the Wii remote last gen, and failed it.
