1. Because it has the games you want to play now.- I wanted to play Resogun, Killzone and Knack.
2. And it’ll have the games you want to play next year.- So will my PS4
3. The Wii U GamePad is a portable console.- Only up to a small range. No taking it on the go.
4. It’s just $300 — $100 less than the PS4 and $200 less than the Xbox One.- Yes, but it's losing more than $100.00 worth of features and third party support.
5. There’s no annual subscription fee.- This is true, but you also don't get tons of free games to play. I pay $40.00 and get tons and tons of games. That's worth it to me.
6. Its High Def enough.- This is an opinion. Other's like myself wouldn't agree.
7. Wii U games are cheaper on balance.- Full priced games are the same price. Not only that, Nintendo games will NOT go down in price for YEARS, unlike MS and PS exclusives.
8. Nintendo has the eShop. Sony and Microsoft have nada. - MS and PS don't have a shop to download new and old games? What?
9. It has a decent indie lineup, too.- Again, an opinion. It certainly won't have even half the amount that the other two will have.
10. It’s more than just a game system. (TV, remote integration)- That's all it has where as the other two have a whole lot more, period.
So basically, again...if someone wants a Nintendo machine, the Wii-U is great. Outside of that demograph, not so much. I still like Nintendo, but I just couldn't force myself to spend that much money on something that pretty much only plays Nintendo exclusives. I like too many genre's and too many third party games. I also needed a Blu-Ray player, and I love having the ability to listen to CD's (coming in an update) and watch my huge collection of DVDs all in one box. Plus, all of those games for a tiny little yearly fee? Win and win.
Hopefully Nintendo brings the hurt with their next console because I'd buy it day one if it did everything the PS4 is going to do.
