Yeah and it dropped the price of Blu Ray so the mass audience could finally buy it. Everyone was in on it including the massive movie houses. They did the same thing with DVD's when CD's became obsolete. 


Good for Bluray, bad for Playstation fans that had to cover the cost of Bluray, good for Xbox userbase.
