Honestly Sony has been far ahead of the competition in the Digital space since 2011 (Besides Steam lol). Day 1 digital, pre-order extras, some pre-loading, play as you download in TLoU, and PS+ sales that rival steam sale prices. MS isn't close, and Nintendo is still competing with the PS2 in terms of online viability lol.
