everybody is a "niche" gamer in some ways...
i'm also playing etrian odyssey... on the 12 floor... so while i'd charaterize the game experience as truly an "odyssey" i just can't give up keep playing it... huge waste of time, no justification whatsoever, sigh. i rated it 8 or 9 here on vgc.
it seems pretty classic RPG to me, don't understand why reviewers say it's niche. it's just missing a storyline.
but my "niche" is all the "non-game" games. wario, wii sports, DDR, brain age, etc. maybe i'll start up a company that makes these games... and then i can make like chemistry training, physics training, math training, etc.
the Wii is an epidemic.
