For my personal taste, there is one difference: The Vita is a great piece of hardware, it just happens that nobody wants it. But if I was Sony, this would be my last handheld. Also, a game like Gravity Rush would be worse on all platforms you mentioned, on the other hand, SM3DW would be equal or better on the platforms I mentioned.

The WiiU is just an outdated console with outdated hardware, network and functionality. It has a gimmicky controller that nobody wants and makes the console too expensive for what it is. 3rd Party publishers and customers saw this even before its launch and neither of them supports the console (chicken and egg here).

Gamers that like Nintendo games like me are waiting for the good Nintendo games and a price cut to come to buy the console, the mainstream gamer doesn't give a crap about it and the casuals see nothing ground-breaking like the Wii-Mote and have enough with their Wii and their mobile/facebook games.

So yeah imo the WiiU is a bad console which very little appeal to most people.

@bolded, basically removes the need for your entire post :P

Too bad that sales of any products are based on personal tastes

what?

I'm not talking about sales, you're saying the WiiU is a bad console all the while saying "in my opinion", which removes the need of your post seeing as there's enough doom and gloom already.

Can you really say the Wii U is a good console when we have the PS4 and Xbox One to compare it to? It has a few good games - a handful- and that's about it. The console itself is far from impressive. It's not personal taste to say that the hardware is outdated and overpriced. And it's not personal preference to say that third parties don't want to support it. It's not  good console. The best thing you can say about it is that it plays Nintendo games.
