Most weren't angry at IW for doing that.  In fact I didn't see anyone panning IW for it (don't start giving me links I'm sure SOMEONE said that I'm just saying it wasn't the general thing).  MS was catching shit for it because their system was obviously underpowered which they had been trying to downplay all Summer in one manner or another.

When I said bad press, I meant that simply having this come to light was bad for both MS and IW. It was bad for MS because of the reasons you state and THAT, in turn, is bad for IW because they want a good relationship with their business partners and you don't do that by gimping one version over the other. MS was probably none to happy about it and I'm sure behind the scenes, phone calls were made of the angry variety.

My money is on the next COD looking identical or damn near close.
