The only relevant question is this was it supposed to do well. Given that the first installment did not sell over half a million copies, and this was early in the generation. Why would we expect the sequel to have greater sales. Especially considering the competition.
What I do feel disappointed about is the supposed differential between the PS3 and 360 sales figures. I would have thought the sales would appear stronger on the PS3 given the distinct lack of games. Haze is still some time off, and there doesn't seem to be any major titles in the immediate future so it should be seeing some serious action. The age old mantra of beggars not being choosers. The PS3 owners should be famished. The holiday glut is over three months behind us. Unlike the 360 which has had a couple notable releases recently.
For all the griping about how unreliable Amazon is they are supplying real numbers rather then mere predictions. This site isn't going to provide guidance until after something has happened. Which might be something that could be rectified better then Amazon which may or may not have the best price, and thus might skew the results.
We should have something like a hype meter give members ten choices and let them allocate points. That might be a good metric for demand over the coming month.
