Yes because Wii U owners are just swarming in releases.

Notable platformers that Wii U owners have to choose from: New Super Mario Bros U, New Super Luigi U, Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, Epic Mickey 2, plus a heap of eShop platformers, and now SM3DW.

Notable platformers that PS4 owners have to choose from: Knack.

If you have a look at Chart-Track's Wii U chart, you'll find that the top for Wii U games are ALL platformers - SM3DW, NSMBU, NSLU, and Rayman Legends.

Also, Knack is part of one of PS4's bundles (here). Super Mario 3D World is not in a Wii U bundle (yet).

New Super Mario Bros U and New Super Luigi U is pretty much the same game, this is the wii u's flag ship title for the holidays, it should not be outsold by knack
