It all depends of how long Nintendo will keep bringing new games to it. The device may last 3 or 5 years.
Seriously, they are not aiming at big buckets of profits with the WiiU, it´s just about surviving this generation. If the WiiU sells like the GC, it will be just fine.
Specially in these times when the market continues to shrink, despite big launches of PS4 and XboxOne. 2014 will be an interesting year for consoles. So far, consoles are becoming more and more niche. I wonder what could be done by any of the 3 companies to bring new consumers to it, now that everyone´s just interested in tablets and smartphones and Pc´s
