It really depends on the games. Except for the Ys game, the others were gimped ports (from what I understand) and really no one will likely be getting those in lieu of better ps3/x360 versions. As for Ys, this is a problem and there needs to be more done about these games. I would like to know if the same is occurring for the Wii U or if the number of reviews even for the mediocre ports is considerably higher.

That an extremely valid point, actually.

CoD: Ghosts managed to scrape its way to 4 reviews thanks to 3 Nintendo-only sites reviewing it.  Batman is sitting on 1 review and Assassin's Creed is sitting on 2.

Seems like Wii-U isn't getting much of a better deal either.

This is more Metacritic's fault than the Wii U not getting any reviews.

I know IGN updates their reviews with Wii U impressions.
for examle for Black Flag: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/10/29/assassins-creed-4-black-flag-review (4th paragraphe)
or COD Ghosts: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/11/05/call-of-duty-ghosts-review (20th paragrphe or so)
Most sites put the reviews of all platforms in one review, the PS Vita probably has more reviews too, but Metacritic hasn't added them because the reviews include other platforms too.
