I'm all for the next Zelda having a lot more fine detail and things like realistic lighting. But I don't want it to have "realistic visuals". The realm of Hyrule is meant to be colourful, vibrant, and a little bit cartoony. Twilight Princess pushed just a little too far into "realistic", in my opinion, and it resulted in a game that was a little too dark and gritty for Zelda (although the game itself was top-notch - it just would have been better with the more vibrant Skyward Sword style in terms of visuals).

That being said, I'm all for Nintendo creating a new IP with a more realistic feel. Something that sits somewhere between Zelda: Twilight Princess, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Xenoblade, and the Metroid series in terms of design would be perfect, I think. Perhaps taking some cues from GTA design as well - not so much the theme (crime), but more the game design itself. Perhaps a third person shooter that is a little less "adventure" (compared with Metroid), but with the expanding accessibility of the GTA and Metroid games, a storyline more like Zelda in overall feel with Disaster type theming ("real" world villains) and a sense of scale similar to Xenoblade. Gritty but not too dark, with real colours rather than brown and grey.
