I get the point of the thread, but the PS1 was kind of a mixed bag, it was still relatively easy to develop for compared to the Saturn and N64. The Saturn did beat the PS1 in arcade ports on a pure technical level, whereas PS1 ports on the Saturn where usually quite a mess due to developers not utilizing the Saturn's dual-CPU quadrilateral based capabilities.

Also just a fun fact, initially, there were actually a few Dreamcast ports that ended up inferior on the PS2, I shit you not. Crazy Taxi and MVC2 come to mind.

Just find it a little funny when I see the notion that the PS3 is the first and only system that ever embraced some massively foreign architecture.
