I think the PS4 will do well initially in the US but it's legs will be shorter than the X1. The X1 will have surpassed the PS4 in the US this time next year if not earlier.

My opinion exactly. I don't see how the combined might of Titanfall, Halo 5, and Quantum Break aren't going to sell enough Xbox One's to retake the number 1 spot in the US by the end of next year.

I doubt it.  Titanfall and Quantum Break will not be system sellers.  There is no indication Halo 5 will even be ready in 2014.

What makes you think that? Titanfall on Xbox One has 104k preorders in the US already with 16 weeks to go, and it's been gaining at a steady 10k+ the last few weeks. If it maintains a steady 10k every week until release, that would put it at 260k preorders, but everyone knows that preorders ramp up the last few weeks before release, so it could easily hit 400k preorders in the US, which would likely lead to around 500k in sales week one. Globally that should probably put week one around 700-800k, leading to lifetime sales around 4 million units, well within system seller territory.

As for Quantum Break, it's outcome is less certain, but gameplay is about to be shown at VGX on December 7th, and I won't be suprised at all if hype goes through the roof after it's shown, based on how good the gameplay looked in the small teaser that we got at the Xbox One launch party. It may not be as big a system seller as Ttianfall and Halo 5 are, but I still expect good things.

Halo 5 could get delayed until 2015, but so far they've given us a release window of 2014, which is why I included it. We all know that a new Halo will sell at least 6-7 million units, which makes it a system seller in my book.

Infamous has the same number of pre-orders, and titan fall is on 360 and pc.....Not going to be much of a system seller with destiny lurking.

Titanfall will speed up at a faster rate than Infamous, mark my words. If Second Son maintained it's current pace, it could potentially outsell both previous Infamous games combined, which is highly unlikely. No, I think Infamous: Second Son only saw a preorder boost the last few weeks because the PS4's launch lineup was weak, people who had extra money when they went in to buy their PS4 decided put it on the first post launch exclusive, which is Second Son, instead of buying one of the PS4's lackluster launch titles.

Titanfall has too much hype behind it after winning a ton of awards at both E3 and Gamescom. The 360 version is not going to do super well because people know that it'll be sub-par graphically, Titanfall is already not that impressive graphically, people will buy it on Xbox One or PC to get the best graphics possible. The Xbox One version will lead simply because there are more first person shooter fans that prefer controller over mouse/keyboard.

This post is one massive assumption with notihng to back it up.. .... Ps4 launch lineup is no weaker then x1..or any console launch.. period. Titanfall will sell more on 360 then x1 by a mile, 80 = million versus a few million install base.
