I'm happy guys... I have a PS4 from Sony Brazil with 1 year warranty (yeap Nota Fiscal Paulista and more).

So I will talk about how is the reception in the official and Gray Market in Brazil.

First there are five PS4 models here (prices are avg paying in Cash... you can get better discounts):

  • US (110v only - imported by Gray Market): ~R$2600
  • EU (I didn't checked the voltage - imported by Gray Market): ~R$2300
  • Mexican (110/220v - imported by Gray Market): ~R$2600
  • Asian (I didn't checked the voltage - imported by Gray Market): ~R$2400
  • Brasilian (110/220v - By Sony Brasil): ~R$2700 with Nota Fical (warranty from Sony Brasil) or ~R2500 without Nota Fiscal

I asked in a lot of store at Sta. Efigenia... most os them have four/five consoles to shell right now... they are selling avg. of 5 consoles per day (some store sold 9 consoles yesterday and other only 2)... the store I bought mine sold 2 PS4 before I got it.

There are way less Xbone available... they said MS is not supplying the console... they expected to receive a new shipment in last tuesday/wednesday but not happened... so they are with low store... few store have it (green box) but I didn't saw anybody asking about the price (while everybody asked about the PS4 prices... it's bad for me because I want to negociate the price and close to other people the stores's employee didn't negociate because they didn't want to say a price for me and other for the other consumers... so I wait a lot of time in store to the other consumers go away to start to negociate prices... there is no fixed price when you have money and not credit card or anything else).

360 and PS3 are selling like hot cakes like always... some guy said to me that the demand for PS2 stop (well decreased a lot) two months ago... before that the console are selling some units yet.

I didn't asked anything about Wii U but I didn't saw box too or people asking for it but 3DS is a juge success... I saw at least five guys buying one close to me and some stores.

At least in Sta. Efigegia the PS4 is selling better than Xbone... and in other big stores the console is selling good too... it gets sold out in most place I visited in shoppings near my residence.

Now my console...

I choose the official Brasilian model with Killzone (there are low stocks of games... the only avaialble at the store was Killzone and LEGO... they are getting sold out of games). with one addictional controller.

R$ 2700

With Nota Fiscal and warranty from Sony Brasil... it was not the best price but the 1 year warranty make my mind... everything in Portuguese Brazil (I post pictures soon).

BTW I asked why Sony Brasil is selling the console at R$4000 and the stores at R$2600-2900... one guy said they got the console directly with Sony Brasil and the price they sell it to retail is way lower then the consumer price... so after they put the profit margin and brasilian taxes the prices variates from R$2600 to R$2900.

Now my guesses... Sony Brazil maybe is paying the taxes for videogame products (60-70%) while these stores are computer/eletronic stores and the Nota Fiscal shows that... so the taxes for compute/eletronic devices are way lower (~20%)... that's can explain the difference in prices.

This relate is about the Brasilian model only... the others models are imported and the taxes are different.

I'm so happy guys... I spent a little more than I wanted (I have R$2200) but I got full warranty from Sony Brasil.

Pictures soon.

Edit

I forget to say...

They said the console was being sold at R$2000-2400 two weeks ago but the low supply make the price increase... if Sony didn't started to supply more console they will increase to close R$3000 soon.

Fun fact... I got the last Killzone copy at the store I bought my PS4.

Fun fact II... a guy in the same store wanted to buy 3 PS4.

Fun fact III... I'm impressed how many units the Gray Martke have... they have Asian and European models since last week... it is crazy.
