Looking at the sales no one can argue that Nintendo got it wrong in terms of what they wanted the system to be.
It was never going to be easy for them. How do you follow the wii? Imagine the thought processes.
1) More of the same 2) Sit on the fence 3) Go totally different.
To be honest I am not even quite sure which option they took.
My main issues with the wii u. It doesn't come across as advance or modern. Copying files from main memory to an external HDD takes absolutely ages. They choose to use decade old USB 2.0 instead of adding at least one USB 3.0 port which makes the console seem cheap and outdated.
The build quality of the wii u is the worst of any Nintendo console. The gamepad creaks as I use it to play games and I am not even putting much pressure on it.
Graphics are fine as far as I am concerned.
All that aside it's about the games. Which I do enjoy.
