Damn, so looking at Cod: Ghosts and Ass Creed: Black flag not even charting the top 80 on Wii U. Seems like there is a lot of reasoning behind third parties not supporting the platform, the numbers.

I am thinking the Bone will have really low numbers for week 2 in N. America as I have gone to several cities and not found a bone in stock anywhere. I plan to keep this up for every visit to a store that sells consoles out of curiosity until they seem to be consistantly in stock.

Naturally. Think about this how many people around here said they were going to get a Wii U for third party games?? (That does not mean that third party games get ignored really some people do buy them for the Wii U. Myself included. I have 7 games.. well 9 if you include dload only and 6 of them are third party games)  And I believe both AC4 and COD was in the top 50 for Wii U at one point. So they show up. They just don't stay there for long.

In my long experience on these forums and GAF, the buying patterns of forum goers do not reflect the public as a whole at all. Forum goers tend to be gaming enthusiasts that are not remotely like the average gamer. It is tradition for vgc Nintendo gamers to hate anything not Nintendo so yah what you say about a lot of posters posts concerning their gaming habits is true for this forum and this forum alone. Only a small biased sample here.

That is true. But sometimes I wonder if what is posted here influences a lot of other gamers. Which is sad really. There is some really good third party stuff on the Wii U. :( It uposets me sometimes. But it is something you have to live with. :I

They got no one to blame but themselves marketing is as important to the success/longevity of a product as the quality of the product itself, and in some cases even more so.

Are we gfoing to go through this again? You can have all the marketing you can want but if all you have is third party games from 1-3 (Guesstament according to what I read) years old and on other systems that people may already have that to hurts. Nintendo is at fault but so is third parties. I mean they still do this was there really a reason for another Lego Batman 2?  And of course in addition to marketing, it does not help when you ask people about the system and they don't have a clue as to what it is or are you going to set there and tell me that could not possibly hurt it. I mean sometimes even today at a local  Target you ask about the Wii U and they still tell you you don't want it because it's just a overprced Wii with a new controller. (I actually had to go over and explain to both the employee and the customer what the difference was and successfully sold two Wii U's the customer got theirs once I showed them where it was and the employee got one when he timed out with Mario 3D World. ) So yeah you can set here and say it's "Only" Nintendo's fault but it's not. I would say it's about 70 percent their fault. 10 percent certain uninformed parties fault and the other 20 percent goes to third parties.

Nintendo Wii by generations...

1. Wii

2. Wii U

3. Wii O U

Predictions made by gamers concerning the current Nintendo line up of games.

Pikmen 3= Little Bump to nothing. (Got Little Bump)

Wind Waker HD= Won't sell anything (The explosion happened here and at one time 4 Wii U games was in the Amazon top 100)

Super Mario 3D World= Won't help at all looks cheap. (Currently the most sought after Wii U game and continuing the Wii U increase.)
