HEY LISTEN! Spoilers ahead Link!

Finished A Link Between Worlds.

It was good, in fact very good. But, in the end, I feel somewhat dissapointed. Some parts of the game are good but others are easy and boring.

  • Firstly, game is shorter than I imagined, or maybe I'm very good. I believe the former is the actual answer.
  • Dungeons are short, very very short.
  • Boss battles are easy, even the final boss.
  • Lorule Castle is dissapointing.
  • You have access to every item early in the game, with the exception of the sand thingy.
Now what I liked:
  • Ganon-Yuga design is good.
  • Hilda been bad was actually hinted since the beggining by Yuga. Still good twist.
  • Ravio been Lorule's hero.
  • Lorule's theme (Dark World remix)
In fact, this game feels like a good easy portable ALTTP, but not a good console version. As a Zelda fan with ALTTP out of my top 5, this is even dissapointing. Wall mechanic was executed very good, but item rental was not exactly brilliant. Yet, I applaud Aonuma for this concept and won't mind to see back in other iterations if they fix the difficult of the game.
I believe it will be very difficult to mix the good level design of Skyward Sword with the freedom of A Link Between Worlds, but have high expectations for Zelda U.
Oh, and defeated Ganon with my last heart-quarter.
