Hilda needed link to obtain the Triforce of Courage, since she wanted to recreate whole of the Triforce Lorule had lost, by stealing Hyrule's Triforce. Having Zelda with Wisdom, Yuga/Ganon with Power, if link hadn't obtained Courage, her plan would have been for nothing, because she couldn't rely on Ravio to do it as he was too much of a coward to do it.
Going through with the ending as it is, A.K.A - Zelda&Link wishing for Lorule to recover their own Triforce, I get a feeling that Aonuma will try to incorporate Lorule into the Zelda Lore more proeminently in the future. At least I hope he does.

I was actually thinking in terms of Yuga, not Hilda. I knew she held Huga back so Link could get the Triforce of Courage for her, but was curious if Yuga was doing the same. Probably so. I am also curious if Hilda and Ravio kind of switched traits. Like Link has courage, so does Hilda and Ravio has Wisdom? I donno just a theory. Maybe Hilda has Power (or the thurst of it anyway).
I would love a game based on Lorule. That would be amazing. Hilda looked like she could handle herself more than Zelda could at least in this game anyway.
Yuga, Hilda and Ravio probably represent a corrupt version of the aspects of the Triforce. Like Yuga only having power borrowed from someone else (Hilda gave him the paint abilities, Ganon gave him Power), Hilda having a twisted Wisdom out of the despair of seeing her kingdom crumbling away and Ravio having forgotten his Courage. Fits well with the whole Hyrule/Lorule mirror theme.
And I agree, Hilda is boss. Sheik/Zelda got nothing on her .
