No one knows how much said games would have sold, or how much microsoft paid them. You can't say whether or not those decisions were bad last gen. This gen you don't see them doing that probably because they're not getting paid so it doesn't make sense. Least Risk with JRPG's is mobile/handhelds, because of lower production costs.

SE only gave up Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery.
Sakaguchi did Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

If, and that's a big if VGChartz numbers can be trusted it's hard to say last gen going to only x360 really hurt them
You ofcourse could argue that sakaguchi on PS3 would have been humongous. But Sakaguchi on Wii was least impressive.

Infinite Undiscovery did 0.66 million
Last Remnant did 0.65 (Not counting PC sales).
Lost Odyssey did 0.85
Blue Dragon did 0.87 million

Comparitevely
Eternal Sonata 0.64 million (COMBINED, more on PS3)
Star Ocean 4 1.36 million (combined, more on 360).
Resonance of fate 0.95 million (Combined, More on Ps3)
Last Story 0.55 million
Xenoblade 0.84
Ni No Kuni 0.94
Nier did 0.77 on both x360 and PS3
Valkyria Chronicles 1.13
Tales of Vesperia 1.09 (more on 360, not released on PS3 USA)
Tales of Xillia 0.93 (this is wrong, but since I'm using VGC numbers for everything... :P)

There is no apples to apples comparison, Final Fantasy is the only somewhat apples to apples comparison though. And that's heavily favored in the PS3 side.
