Metacritic in itself is useless, user scores are twice as useless. All big games have a number of 0 scores with no reasoning behind them, "it's shit!" is the basic tone more often than not.
This is what you get on the internet where gamers can actively sabotage, or at least attempt to sabotage, other games and consoles directly, this was not possible in old magazines and TV shows.
